Polaris Guitarist Ryan Siew Passes Away at 26, Leaving a Heartfelt Tribute from Bandmates
The young Australian metalcore band Polaris’ guitarist Ryan Siew passed away at the age of 26.
He was our closest friend and artistic soulmate for ten amazing years. Jamie Hails, Rick Schneider, Jake Steinhauser, and Daniel Furnari, the band’s surviving members, wrote that “those years will never be enough.”
He was kind and astute, humorous, courageous, and inventive, and his talent knew no bounds. He cherished all forms of beauty and the arts.
Siew passed away on Monday, June 19, according to Loudwire.
The guitarist had only a few months prior posted an Instagram picture of himself in a hospital bed.
