Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister for the third time. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath to him, with Modi taking the oath in the name of God.
Modi has set a record as the first Prime Minister after Nehru to serve three consecutive terms in independent India.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by various heads of state, as well as prominent figures from the film, political, and industrial sectors.
From the Telugu states, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan were present.
Dignitaries at the ceremony included Bhutan PM Shering Tobgay, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Manipur CM Biren Singh, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, superstar Rajinikanth, and Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, among others.
