Plot Summary: ‘Honeymoon Express’ features Chaitanya Rao and Hebbah Patel as the lead couple, Ishan and Sonali, who fall in love at first sight and get married, only to find themselves constantly at odds with each other.

As their relationship strains, they meet an older couple, Bala (Thanikella Bharani) and Tripura Sundari (Suhasini), who are still romantic and lively despite their age.

The older couple introduces them to the concept of the ‘Honeymoon Express,’ a week-long retreat designed to rekindle their relationship.

The movie then explores whether this experience can bring Ishan and Sonali closer or drive them further apart.

Review: ‘Honeymoon Express’ attempts to address the modern-day issues of love, marriage, and divorce, particularly focusing on how young couples often fail to understand each other due to lack of communication.

While the concept of guiding a newly married couple to better understand life and each other is promising, the execution falls short.

The screenplay is largely confined to scenes between the lead pair, which are repetitive and fail to engage the audience.

The story lacks depth, and the dialogues do not resonate, making it hard for viewers to connect.

Chaitanya Rao, who has a specific type of on-screen persona, struggles to break away from his established image, and his chemistry with Hebbah Patel is underwhelming.

The romantic scenes between them come off as forced and do not captivate the audience, especially given the lack of a convincing relationship dynamic.

The supporting roles of Thanikella Bharani and Suhasini, though filled by experienced actors, add little to the narrative, leaving their talent underutilized. Ali’s attempt at comic relief also fails to hit the mark.

The direction often feels aimless, with the narrative meandering and leaving the audience confused about the intended message of the film.

Technically, the movie does not impress either, with ordinary cinematography and editing. Kalyani Malik’s music is one of the few redeeming factors, adding some much-needed emotional depth to the scenes.

Overall, ‘Honeymoon Express‘ is a disappointment both in terms of story and execution.
