Bengaluru Bus Conductor Praised for Saving Passengers After Driver’s Heart Attack

A driver suffered a fatal heart attack while driving a bus, but quick thinking by the conductor saved the lives of the passengers.

The incident took place in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. Kiran, aged 39, was working as a driver at Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) Depot 40.

The bus was traveling from Nelamangala to Yeshwanthpur when Kiran suddenly suffered a heart attack and lost consciousness at the wheel.

The entire incident was recorded on the bus’s CCTV cameras. After Kiran collapsed, the bus began veering off course and grazed against another bus moving ahead.

Realizing the danger, the conductor immediately sprang into action, attempted to revive Kiran, and then took over the wheel to bring the bus to a safe stop.

Kiran was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The RTC (Road Transport Corporation) officials praised the conductor for his alertness and bravery in safely bringing the bus to a halt and saving the passengers’ lives.
