In the midst of the mounting COVID-19 worry, the centre has provided solace to class 12 students and parents by cancelling CBSE class 12 board examinations in 2021.

Following this, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the ISC examinations for 2021 due to the country’s coronavirus situation.

Now that the class 12 examinations have been cancelled, students have various questions about the assessment system.

The ISC Exam 2021 results, according to the board, will be based on a process that will also incorporate internal examinations such as pre-board, half-yearly, and UT examinations.

The board also said that any student who is dissatisfied with his or her grades may retake the test after the epidemic is under control.

The Supreme Court on Thursday handed the CISCE board two weeks to provide objective standards for assessing class 12 pupils. A panel of Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and A M Khanwilkar directed attorney J K Das, who was arguing for the CISCE, to record the objective parameters within two weeks, following which the court would look through the objective parameters to clarify any objections.

PM Modi announced the scrapping of the CBSE class 12 board examinations in 2021 on Tuesday evening. Several state boards, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, , and Goa, cancelled examinations within 24 hours of the news.
