Tokyo Olympics 2020: Archer Deepika Kumari Reaches Quarterfinals-India In Olympics
Deepika Kumari, India’s only competitor in women’s archery, advanced to the quarterfinals of the women’s solo event on Friday, keeping her Olympic medal dreams alive.
Deepika beat Russian Olympic Committee archer Ksenia Perova 6-5 in a one-arrow shoot-off.
Both archers tied 5-5 on set points in their Round of 16 match at Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.
She will now face world No. 1 An San of South Korea in her next round.
