Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched ‘Clean Andhra Pradesh’ initiative on Gandhi Jayanti.
The CLAP project was launched by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who flagged off 2,600 rubbish collecting vans.
Both the diesel auto tripper and electric vehicles will be outfitted with wet, dry, and domestic hazardous waste divider bins with a hydraulic lift and a microphone to proclaim IEC actions for public awareness.
To improve the environment, a 20-foot green belt will be constructed surrounding each waste transfer station.
10,628 thermal fogging machines are being deployed to combat the mosquito issue and limit the development of vector-borne illnesses.
To reduce open defecation, 1,500 community toilets (CT) and public toilets (PT) would be built in high-traffic places such as bus stops, rail stations, public hospitals, and ward secretariats in all ULBs across the state.
