2-In Mumbai, Nitin Gadkari introduces India’s first electric AC double-decker bus
Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, unveiled India’s first electric double-decker air-conditioned bus on Thursday in Mumbai.
The first of the company’s recently acquired electric double-decker air-conditioned buses was unveiled by the Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST).
According to reports, the electric bus, which was made by Switch Mobility, Ashok Leyland’s electric vehicle division, can transport twice as many seated passengers.

According to the US embassy, Indians will have to wait until 2024 to successfully schedule a tourist visa appointment because of a backlog of applications.
According to the US State Department website, the typical wait time is approximately one and a half years, thus applicants who submit their applications now will be able to schedule an appointment for March–April 2024.
In the US consulate in New Delhi, the average wait time for a visa appointment is 522 days for tourist visas and 471 days for student visas.
