4-DRDO tests a very short range missile and India receives a new air defence system called VSHORADS.
Tuesday saw the Very Short Range Air Defense System (VSHORADS) undergo two successful flights of testing by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
At the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur off the coast of Odisha, the missiles were fired from a portable launcher that was on the ground.
VSHORADS is a Man Portable Air Defense System (MANPAD) that was created domestically. It contains numerous novel technology, including a miniaturised reaction control system and integrated avionics.
