NCW directs FIR against actor Siddharth; Saina Nehwal responds to ‘subtle cock’ controversy-22
Actor Siddharth has sparked outrage with his’subtle cock’ remark on ace badminton player Saina Nehwal’s tweet.
She had expressed concerns about Prime Minister Modi’s security lapse on Twitter.
Despite Siddharth’s clarification after being chastised by netizens for his ‘crass’ language, the National Commission for Women has now requested that a FIR be made against him.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) condemned actor Siddharth for making a “lewd and improper remark” on Twitter about badminton player Saina Nehwal and demanded “immediate and harsh action” against the actor for using obscene language for women on social media.
Harvir Singh Nehwal, the father of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal, reacted to actor Siddharth’s harsh statements about the shuttler on Monday.
Harvir criticised the actor’s disparaging statements and stated that he should have used different language.
