Air India, India’s largest airline, has made a significant decision to expand its customer care services.

Previously limited to Hindi and English, these services are now available in Telugu and seven other regional languages.

In addition to Telugu, customer care services will be offered in Tamil, Punjabi, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali.

Air India stated that the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system will automatically detect the customer’s language preference based on their mobile network.

“This introduction of multilingual support in Indian languages is a crucial milestone in our journey. By incorporating these regional languages into our customer support services, we are not only expanding our reach but also strengthening our relationship with customers.

We aim to connect with all our passengers through Air India,” said Rajesh Dogra, Air India’s Chief Customer Experience Officer.

Recently, Air India also established five contact centers to ensure that frequent flyers and premium customers have access to customer care services at all times.
