Death of CDS Bipin Rawat: Filmmaker Ali Akbar finds smileys repulsive, vows to forsake Islam

Ali Akbar, a filmmaker, has announced that he and his wife Lucyamma would convert to Hinduism and cease to be Muslims.

Akbar stated that he chose to forsake his Islamic religion in response to allegations that some Muslims used happy emoticons underneath postings and comments on social media over the death of Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash.
