Andhra Pradesh Announces New Property Registration Values from February 1


The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, has announced that new property registration values will come into effect across the state from February 1, 2025.

Anagani Satya Prasad revealed key updates regarding the property registration process:

  • Capital region villages will not see any changes in registration values.
  • In growth centers, where market values are ten times higher, registration values will be increased.
  • Areas with registration values exceeding market rates will see adjustments to align with actual market conditions.

This revision aims to create a fair and transparent property registration system across Andhra Pradesh.

Minister Anagani Satya Prasad Warns Against Land Encroachments
The minister also addressed land-related concerns, emphasizing:

  • Strict action will be taken against individuals involved in land encroachments during the previous administration.
  • Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs) who acted as intermediaries in illegal activities will face accountability.
  • Lands unlawfully occupied, particularly those belonging to the poor, will be reclaimed.

Committees Established for Land-Related Disputes
To resolve long-standing land disputes, the government has set up committees involving district collectors. These committees will address:

  • Issues related to 22-A lands.
  • Disputes concerning G.O. 596 and other significant land categories.
  • Ensuring justice for rightful landowners affected by previous irregularities.
