Bed Bath and Beyond CFO Gustavo Arnal dies after fall from tower
Just two days after the home retail juggernaut announced a new round of shop closures and layoffs as it seeks to recover from a sales slump, a prominent executive at Bed Bath & Beyond passed away last week.
Bed Bath and Beyond CFO Gustavo Arnal, the organization’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, passed away on Friday, the company announced on Sunday.
According to the New York Police Department, on Friday, officers in Manhattan discovered 52-year-old Arnal comatose and lifeless near Leonard Street and West Broadway. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.
In 2020, Arnal started working for Bed Bath & Beyond after previously holding positions at Avon, Walgreens Boots Alliance, and Procter & Gamble.
