Karthikeya’s “Bhaje Vaayu Vegam”
The movie, which was released in theaters on May 31, is now streaming on OTT platforms from today. It has an interesting plot with several twists and is recommended for family viewing.

Story Overview:

“Bhaje Vaayu Vegam” stars Karthikeya as the protagonist. Directed by Prashanth Reddy and produced by UV Concepts, this movie features Ishwarya Menon as the leading lady, with music composed by Radhan.

After receiving a positive response in theaters, the film is now available for streaming.

The story begins in Rajannapet, Warangal, where Venkat’s (Karthikeya) parents commit suicide due to unbearable debts, leaving him an orphan.

Lakshmiah (Thanikella Bharani) from the same village takes Venkat under his wing, treating him like his own son alongside his biological son, Raju (Rahul).

Lakshmiah encourages Venkat’s interest in cricket.

Both Venkat and Raju move to Hyderabad, renting a penthouse together. However, Raju needs money to secure a job, and Venkat needs funds to get selected for a cricket team.

Raju works as a driver at a star hotel while Venkat indulges in betting to make money.

To avoid worrying their father, they lie about their successful positions.

Lakshmiah eventually learns the truth and collapses from the shock, which reveals his underlying health issues.

Doctors say he needs immediate surgery, costing 20 lakh rupees. Venkat wins 40 lakh rupees in betting to cover the costs, but the bookmaker Vamsi cheats him at the last minute, demanding Venkat owes him 40 lakh rupees.

It is revealed that David (Ravi Shankar), the brother of Mayor George (Sharath Lohitasya), is behind Vamsi’s actions.

Venkat clashes with Mayor George’s son, who then goes missing. In a twist, Venkat and Raju discover the mayor’s son’s dead body in the car trunk when attempting to sell the car in another city.

With the mayor’s men, David’s followers, and the police after them, the brothers must navigate the dangerous situation.

The story unfolds with questions about who killed the mayor’s son and the fate of Lakshmiah in the hospital.

Analysis:

Director Prashanth Reddy’s story is set entirely in Hyderabad, presenting familiar yet intriguing twists that keep the audience engaged.

Despite being made on a modest budget with no big stars, the content is well-crafted. The screenplay and twists are executed effectively, maintaining audience interest throughout.

The film’s minor downside is the lack of romance. Rajasekhar’s cinematography and Radhan’s background score are notable highlights, while the editing is neat.

The movie, which could have performed better in theaters, offers an engaging drama that is enjoyable for family viewing on OTT platforms.
