Bigg Boss 16 Finale: MC Stan Reigns Supreme in Finale, Wins Rs 31L and Hearts of Viewers
In a star-studded finale that lasted into the early hours of Monday morning, the 16th season of the renowned reality show ‘Bigg Boss 16’ was won by MC Stan, a rapper from Pune, Maharashtra. Bigg Boss’s trophy and more than Rs. 31 lakh were awarded to MC Stan (real name: Altaf Shaikh).
Over the span of 130 days, MC Stan never wavered as a serious contender for the trophy, and he never lost the support of his legion of devoted followers. He won the competition after facing off against Shiv Thakare, Archana Gautam, and Shalin Bhanot in the final round.
The 2019 release of MC Stan’s single “Khuja Mat” propelled him to fame as an Indian rapper, lyricist, music producer, and composer. It was beatboxing and B-boying that piqued MC Stan’s interest before he even considered rapping. Audiences all around the country have been laughing at his one-liners like “Shemdi,” “appreciate you,” “Haq se,” “feel you bro,” “Hindi matra bhasha,” and “Raavas.”
One of the most recognisable personalities on the Bigg Boss 16 show is MC Stan, whose stage name is “Basti Ka Hasthi” and who has 7.7 million Instagram followers.
In the Top 3 segment, MC Stan was fighting against Priyanka Choudhary and Shiv Thakare. Though she made it to the final three, Priyanka was ultimately eliminated. Salman Khan, the host of the show, lauded Priyanka for the manner she accepted the news and dubbed her the winner in his view.
Before a winner was revealed, the audience got to see performances from the top five finalists. Priyanka performed with Ankit on a love tune and afterwards had a dance-off with her competitor Shiv on ‘Dhan Te Nan 2.0’ from the film ‘Kuttey.’ Shalin performed on the song ‘Bijli’ from Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Govinda Naam Mera.’
Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, the cast of Junooniyat (Gautam Vig, Ankit Gupta, Neha Rana, Karan Kundra, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Reem Sameer Shaikh from ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal,’ to name a few) and many others all showed up for the Bigg Boss 16 finale. Eliminated housemates, including Gori Nagori, Sreejita De, Soundarya Sharma, Tina Datta, Manya Singh, Abdu Rozik, Sajid Khan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumbul Toqeer, Gautam and Ankit were also present.
The Bigg Boss 16 finale was a night to remember for all who attended, as the top five housemates were joined by friends and family.
