Covid-19 News: Guidelines For Covid Treatment In Children: A Walk Test, No Remdesivir
The Health Ministry stated in a detailed document titled ‘Comprehensive Guidelines for Management of COVID-19 in Children’ that the antiviral drug Remdesivir is not advisable for children and that steroids should only be used to treat moderately severe and critically ill patients in hospital settings.
The government has advised using the ‘6-Minute Walk Test’ on children over the age of 12 to determine “cardio-pulmonary exercise tolerance.”
