Dilruwan Perera of Sri Lanka retires from international cricket-2022

Dilruwan Perera, a spinner from Sri Lanka, announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on Wednesday.

However, Perera, 39, has stated a willingness to pursue playing domestic cricket.

“Dilruwan Perera, who represented the Sri Lanka National Team, made his statement from all forms of International Cricket with immediate effect,” Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in a statement.

“In his retirement letter written to Sri Lanka Cricket, Perera however stated that he will continue playing Domestic Cricket. Sri Lanka Cricket wishes him the very best for his future endeavours.”

Sri Lanka’s allrounder appeared in 43 Tests, 13 One-Day Internationals, and three Twenty20 Internationals. He amassed 1456 runs across all forms and 177 wickets on the international level.
