Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s latest film ‘Emergency’ had its trailer released on Wednesday. The movie is based on the political life of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The film primarily revolves around the events during the Emergency period of 1975. In the movie, Kangana portrays the role of Indira Gandhi.
In addition to playing the lead role, Kangana has also directed the film herself. Veteran actor Anupam Kher plays the role of Jayaprakash Narayan, while Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade portrays former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The movie is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films.
The makers have announced that the film will be released worldwide on September 6.
