KTR Seeks Dismissal of ACB Case in Formula E-Case Controversy
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) approached the Telangana High Court seeking dismissal of the ACB case filed against him in connection with the Formula E-Car Racing event.
In his quash petition, KTR claimed the case was filed with malicious intent.
He mentioned that while the FIR alleged undue benefit to a private company, the company itself was not listed as an accused.
He argued that the October 30, 2023 agreement did not violate the election code. He also stated that transferring funds before the agreement was not an ECI violation, as it was only a continuation of a previously established agreement.
KTR clarified that the FIR did not accuse him of personal financial gain from the agreement.
He further pointed out that a minister publicly discussed possible arrests of opposition leaders, suggesting that opposition leaders were being targeted with cases to facilitate arrests.
