Free Travel for Women: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scheme for free travel for women in TSRTC buses.
The coverage under Rajiv Arogyasri scheme has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs10 lakh.
Women Minister Seethakka and Konda Surekha, along with the Cabinet and Congress MLAs, have flagged off the first bus.
The schemes were launched on the occasion of the birthday of Sonia Gandhi, considered the “mother of Telangana.”
Girls, women, and transgender persons domiciled in Telangana state can avail traveling free within the state by showing any ID.
Free travel covers buses like Palle Velugu, Express, city ordinary, and city Metro buses within Telangana.
Rajiv Arogyasri Health Scheme now covers 1,672 packages for various ailments and benefits 90.10 lakh BPL families.
