Top 25 Global Banks: HDFC, SBI, ICICI Make It to the List

HDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), and ICICI Bank have earned places in the Top 25 Global Banks list based on market capitalization for the fourth quarter of 2024.

This recognition comes from a list compiled by GlobalData, an international data analytics and research firm.

In the rankings, HDFC Bank secured the 13th position, ICICI Bank ranked 19th, and SBI took the 24th spot. The list was created using the market capitalization values of banks globally, reflecting their financial strength and investor confidence.

As of the fourth quarter of 2024, HDFC Bank’s market capitalization stood at USD 158.5 billion, marking a 1.6% increase compared to the previous quarter.

ICICI Bank recorded a market capitalization of USD 105.7 billion, while SBI registered USD 82.9 billion.

Globally, the total market capitalization of the top 25 banks rose by 27.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, reaching USD 4.6 trillion by the end of 2024.
