2022 Golden Globes Awards- The event will have no audience, red carpet amid controversial year
With no stars and no transmission, and without the backing of the Hollywood elite, which had pushed them to take a year off to clean house, the 79th Golden Globe Awards went ahead as planned, revealing winners in 14 film and 11 television categories.
Nicole Kidman won for her portrayal of American television legend Lucille Ball in the Amazon Prime Video film Being The Ricardos, Sarah Snook won for the HBO series Succession, and Kodi Smit-McPhee won for The Power of the Dog. The Power of the Dog also won best director for New Zealand director Jane Campion, as well as best motion picture, drama.
