Aadhaar is the word that is most frequently heard among the documents needed in daily life. The Aadhaar card has become crucial in everyday activities. For such an important Aadhaar card, everyone definitely links some mobile number to it.
However, sometimes when purchasing a new SIM card or during the linking process, we might give a different mobile number, thinking it belongs to someone else.
This makes it difficult to know which number is linked when an OTP is required.
People often get confused, wondering, “Which number did I give? Whose number did I provide?”
To address such issues, UIDAI has introduced a special facility. With this, you can find out which mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar.
How to check online:
- First, visit the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
- On the screen, navigate to the ‘My Aadhaar’ section, select ‘Aadhaar Services,’ and click on ‘Verify Email/Mobile Number.’
- Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and the captcha, then click ‘Enter.’
- If the mobile number you entered is linked to the Aadhaar card, a message confirming the link will appear.
- If not, the screen will display that the number is not linked. This way, you can find out which of your mobile numbers is linked to your Aadhaar card.
