HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath made significant remarks regarding demolitions in Hyderabad city. Addressing the media, he clarified reports suggesting that ‘HYDRA’ had backed down on demolitions due to public pressure, asserting that no U-turn had been taken.
He emphasized that the organization’s actions align strictly with government policies and reiterated that buildings approved before July 2024 would not be demolished. Ranganath noted that if the government decided to demolish all unauthorized structures, it would involve demolishing millions of homes.
He further stated that everyone must learn from experiences, and following the establishment of ‘HYDRA,’ the organization revised some of its policies based on such insights.
