PV Sindhu beats Mia Blichfeldt in Tokyo Olympic, enters quarter-finals-India in olympics
PV Sindhu of India advanced to the quarterfinals of the Tokyo Olympics after beating Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in the women’s singles on Thursday.
In a 41-minute match, PV Sindhu beat Mia Blichfeldt 21-15 21-13.
PV Sindhu is expected to compete against Akane Yamaguchi of Japan and Kim Gaeun of Korea.
On Wednesday, Sindhu beat Hong Kong’s world number 34, NY Cheung.
PV Sindhu is well-known after winning a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Sindhu is now India’s lone chance after Sai Praneet lost the first match of his Olympic debut.
