Indian Women’s team defeats Australia, Enters Semi- Finals-India in olympics
The Indian women’s hockey team made history today by reaching the Olympic Games semifinals for the first time.
In the quarterfinals of the Tokyo Olympics, they beat three-time winners Australia 1-0. Gurjit Kaur deserves full credit for converting a penalty corner into a goal in the 22nd minute.
The Indians performed well in defending the Australian team’s assault.
On Wednesday, they will face Argentina in the semifinals.
