On Saturday, August 2021, Neeraj Chopra made history by winning Gold in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. 

Today, Neeraj became the first Indian athlete in 100 years to win an Olympic medal in track and field (javelin throw) in Tokyo 2020. 

Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won India’s first #Gold medal at #Tokyo2020, throwing 87.58 metres on his first try.


The 23-year-old farmer’s son from Khandra village near Panipat in Haryana stunned the sports world.

 His second-round throw of 87.58m in the finals, ended India’s 100-year wait for an Olympic track and field gold.
