Josh Inglis Sets Record for Fastest T20 Century

In the second T20 match against Scotland held on Friday, Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis played a remarkable innings.

He set a new record by becoming the fastest batsman to score a century for Australia in T20 internationals. Josh reached his century in just 43 balls.

The previous record was held by former Australian captain Aaron Finch, who scored a century in 47 balls in 2013.

Josh Inglis broke that record with his explosive performance. In the second T20, Australia posted 196 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs, with Inglis scoring 103 runs off 49 balls.

His innings included seven sixes and seven fours. This is Josh’s second century in international T20 cricket.

Looking at the fastest centuries for Australia in T20 internationals,

Aaron Finch scored his in 47 balls in 2013, Glenn Maxwell in 49 balls in 2016, and now in 2023, both Josh Inglis and Glenn Maxwell have scored centuries in 47 balls.
