NIMS Ex Director Kakarla Subba Rao dies
Former Director of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Dr Kakarla Subba Rao is no more.
He has passed away at the age of 94 on Friday at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Secunderabad.
Kakarla Subba Rao is credited for his efforts to transform NIMS into a super-speciality hospital.
Dr Kakarla Subba Rao was the first Director of NIMS.
He served the prestigious position between 1985 and 1992 and later between 1997 and 2004.
Dr Subba Rao was reportedly admitted to KIMS hospital sometime ago with age-related health complications.
He breathed his last with health complications.
