The Malayalam film ‘Keedam’ has been released in Telugu as ‘Keechurallu’ on the ETV Win platform. Known for its thrilling storyline, the film was originally released in 2022 in Malayalam and has now started streaming in Telugu. Let’s delve into how this movie fares.
Plot Summary:
Radhika (Rajisha Vijayan) is a cyber security expert who often assists the police department with cybercrime cases. She lives with her father, a senior lawyer. One day, Radhika calls a number to get her refrigerator repaired, but the person on the other end, Kili Biju, speaks indecently, prompting her to hang up.
Kili Biju belongs to a local gang involved in various criminal activities under the guise of a scrap business. Along with his four accomplices, they start harassing Radhika by making frequent calls and sharing obscene content, attracted by her glamorous social media presence.
Radhika seeks police help, and officers Charles and Ashraf respond due to their close relationship with her. They summon the gang and issue a warning, which only enrages them further.
The gang begins to follow and harass Radhika and her father more aggressively. Using her cyber security skills, Radhika starts to disrupt their illegal operations, causing significant financial losses to the gang.
As the gang receives warnings from their higher-ups due to these losses, they start suspecting Radhika. The story unfolds with Radhika facing various challenges and dangers as she continues her fight against the gang.
Review:
‘Keechurallu’ is a female-centric movie revolving around Radhika, portrayed by Rajisha Vijayan. The storyline is tight, maintaining suspense from start to finish.
The film is shot in a few local locations with a small cast, yet it manages to keep the audience engaged throughout.
Radhika’s unexpected troubles and her efforts to overcome them create a gripping narrative. The scenes where the gang harasses Radhika are realistic, making an immediate connection with the audience.
The film effectively showcases how phones can be hacked and the dangers women face when their phone numbers fall into the wrong hands.
Director Rahul Riji Nair has clearly conveyed the intended message without confusion, opting for realistic scenes over flashy action sequences.
The main cast delivers commendable performances, with notable contributions from Rakesh Dharan’s cinematography, Sidhartha Pradeep’s background music, and Christy Sebastian’s editing, elevating the film to the next level.
Though the title ‘Keechurallu’ might seem ordinary and Rajisha Vijayan isn’t widely known in Telugu cinema, skipping this film would mean missing out on intriguing content.
Free from vulgarity and inappropriate scenes, ‘Keechurallu‘ is a thrilling, family-friendly film.
