1-Chanda Kochhar defeats the CBI in court, which rules that the arrest was unlawful
Chanda Kochhar, a former CEO of ICICI Bank, and her husband Deepak Kochhar are about to be released after the Bombay High Court ruled that their arrests were illegal.
They were detained on December 23 by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with alleged irregularities in a loan of more than Rs. 3 billion made to the Videocon Group while Chanda Kochhar was the CEO of the private sector bank.
