2-India’s first hypersonic missile, the BrahMos-II, will compete with Russia’s Zircon missile – report
The joint venture between India and Russia has received significant attention from Brahmos Aerospace CEO Atul Rane.
Atul Rane stated that the Hypersonic Brahmos-II will operate similarly to the Russian Zircon missile in an interview with the TASS news agency.
As a result, the performance of Brahmos-II will probably be comparable to that of the Zircon missile.
The Hypersonic Zircon missile, according to Russia, can travel at nine times the speed of sound.
The Brahmos supersonic variant travels at 2.8 mach, or almost three times the speed of sound.
