3-Smriti Irani issues a court notice after a dispute at a Goa pub and demands a full apology from the Cong.

BJP lawmaker and her daughter were the targets of “baseless and false” claims made by Congressmen Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera, according to Union minister Smriti Irani, who demanded an apology from them on Sunday.

Irani acted the day after the Congress leaders said that her 18-year-old daughter Zoish Irani was running an illegal bar in Goa.

According to the legal notification, Irani will commence civil and criminal measures against them if they do not retract their claims and make a complete, unequivocal apology.

On Saturday, the Congress demanded Irani be fired, claiming that her daughter was running an illegal bar in Goa.

The minister vowed to fight the “malicious” allegations, but said they were made against her at the Gandhi family’s request because of her strong stance in the National Herald case.

4-‘I am the underdog,’ says Rishi Sunak in a speech during a campaign

In the Conservative leadership election, Rishi Sunak has cast himself as the underdog, stating that Liz Truss is the choice of the “powers that be.”

Speaking to an audience on Saturday in Grantham, the former chancellor pledged to keep the NHS in good hands and referred to inflation as “the enemy that makes everyone poorer.”

He referred to the 3 percent objective for defence spending as a “arbitrary target” and promised to take whatever steps are necessary to keep the country safe.

In the PM campaign, Rishi Sunak claims he is the underdog because the “powers that be” favour Truss.
