Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, Tirupati to Get Lulu Malls

Lulu Malls to be Established in Andhra Pradesh Cities

The Lulu Group has announced its plans to establish malls in Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, as well as in Tirupati and Visakhapatnam. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu shared this information on Lulu Malls during a recent cabinet meeting.

During Chandrababu Naidu’s previous tenure from 2014 to 2019, the state government had allocated land along the Visakhapatnam coastline for a Lulu Mall. However, following a change in government, the project was relocated to Hyderabad. Now, with the coalition government back in power, Lulu Group has agreed to return to Andhra Pradesh. The state’s Investment Promotion Board has approved the proposal for a mall in Visakhapatnam, and the cabinet has now given its final approval on Lulu Malls.

In addition, the government has reiterated its commitment to resuming the construction of Amaravati as the state’s capital. A formal ceremony, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to mark the restart of the project. This development was discussed in the cabinet meeting, and arrangements are being made for the event.

To extend an official invitation, Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to travel to Delhi this evening. During the visit, he is also expected to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss the release of pending funds for various state projects in the current financial year.
