Ajay Ghosh’s Lead Role in ‘Music Shop Murthy’
The movie ‘Music Shop Murthy’, starring Ajay Ghosh in the lead role, was released on June 14th and is now available for streaming on ETV Win from today.

Directed by Shiva Paladugu, the film emphasizes emotions and is suitable for family viewing.

Ajay Ghosh, who started his acting career with minor roles in TV serials, has now become a busy actor in films. ‘Music Shop Murthy’ is his first title role.

The movie portrays Murthy (Ajay Ghosh), a 52-year-old man, his wife Jayashri (Amani), and their two daughters, living near Guntur in Vinukonda.

Murthy runs a cassette shop, which has been struggling due to the decline in demand for cassette tapes. Jayashri pressures him to convert the shop into a mobile phone store, but Murthy’s heart is set on music.

With his deep knowledge of music gained from years of running the cassette shop, Murthy takes up DJing at a local function.

He dreams of becoming a DJ in Hyderabad, inspired by people who tell him he could earn a lot in the city. During this time, he meets Anjana (Chandini Choudary), an aspiring DJ who begins to teach him.

As Murthy spends more time with Anjana, misunderstandings arise at home and in Anjana’s family.

Anjana’s father, Rangarao (Bhanuchandar), files a kidnapping case against Murthy, leading to turmoil in Murthy’s home. Jayashri sells the shop and urges Murthy to go to Hyderabad, but he leaves without the money.

In Hyderabad, Murthy faces new challenges, with no acquaintances or guidance. The film explores how these experiences shape his life.

The movie addresses themes of personal passion versus financial necessity, emphasizing that some people prioritize their passions and memories over money.

Murthy exemplifies this, choosing to follow his dreams despite family opposition.

The film’s narrative, devoid of typical hero-heroine dynamics and romantic songs, focuses on the central story and its message.

While not heavy on entertainment, it delivers a strong message about pursuing one’s dreams regardless of age.

Ajay Ghosh’s performance is noteworthy, though attention to his appearance, particularly his mustache, could have been better.

Director Shiva Paladugu succeeds in delivering a realistic narrative, supported by Pavan’s background music and Srinivas’s cinematography.

Overall, ‘Music Shop Murthy’ inspires viewers to pursue their dreams and adapt to changing times, making it a family-friendly film.
