Benjamin Netanyahu ousted, Naftali Bennett is Israel’s new Prime Minister
Naftali Bennett was sworn in as Israel’s new Prime Minister on Sunday, ending Benjamin Netanyahu’s 12-year reign and the political instability that has gripped the Jewish country for months after inconclusive elections.
Bennett, a former Netanyahu defence minister, promised to keep Israel secure from Iran, pledging that “Israel would not allow Iran obtain nuclear weapons” – a goal the Islamic republic rejects pursuing.
