Naga Chaitanya Gets Engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala: Sobhita From Tenali to the Akkineni Family
The Akkineni family is set to witness wedding bells once again. Actor Naga Chaitanya, who had earlier divorced Samantha, has recently gotten engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala. This news was announced by his father, actor Nagarjuna. He mentioned that the engagement took place on Thursday morning and expressed his happiness in welcoming her into their family.
Nagarjuna also wished that the love and happiness in their lives continue forever. He added that the date, 8.8.8., marks the beginning of boundless love and extended his best wishes to the happy couple. The engagement reportedly took place in a simple ceremony attended by both families.
Previously, in 2017, Naga Chaitanya and actress Samantha had fallen in love and gotten married. However, due to differences, they grew apart over time and eventually announced their separation in October 2021.
Rumors about Chaitanya and Sobhita being in a relationship had surfaced shortly after. There were speculations that the two were in love and even living together, which have been circulating for quite some time. The news of their engagement now has added an interesting twist.
Who is Sobhita Dhulipala?
Sobhita hails from Tenali in Andhra Pradesh. She was born on May 31, 1993, to parents Venu Gopal Rao and Shantha Rao in Tenali, and belongs to a Brahmin family.
Her father worked as an engineer in the Merchant Navy, while her mother was a government teacher. Sobhita completed her schooling at Little Angels School and Visakha Valley School in Visakhapatnam.
Later, due to her father’s job, the family moved to Mumbai, where she completed her studies in Commerce and Economics at Mumbai University and HR College.
Sobhita gained fame by winning the Femina Miss India title in 2013, and she made her film debut in 2016 with the Tamil movie Raman Raghavan.
Since then, she has captivated audiences with her performances in several Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam films.
Notably, she received critical acclaim for her performances in the films Ponniyin Selvan and Major. Recently, she has also made her entry into Hollywood.
Additionally, Sobhita is trained in classical dances such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
