High Court Grants Bail to Paritala Ravi Murder Case Accused

The convicts in the murder case of late leader Paritala Ravi were released from jail today. The High Court granted bail to Narayana Reddy (A3), Rekhamayya (A4), Ranganayakulu (A5), Vadde Konda (A6), and Obireddy (A8).

Following this, they were released from Kadapa Central Jail and Visakhapatnam Central Jail, where they had served 18 years in prison.

On January 24, 2005, Paritala Ravi was brutally murdered at the TDP district office in Anantapur. Muddhu Seenu, Rekhamayya, and Narayana Reddy opened fire, while Obireddy, Ranganayakulu, Vadde Konda, and others hurled bombs outside the TDP office, spreading panic.

The shooting claimed the lives of Ravi, his gunman, and a follower from Dharmavaram.

The case initially listed 16 accused, with four later acquitted by the court. Among the remaining 12, Rammohan Reddy turned approver.

Key accused Muddhu Seenu (A1), Maddelacheruvu Suri (A2), and Tagarakunta Kondareddy were killed during the trial.

Former Chief Minister Jagan and former minister JC Diwakar Reddy also faced allegations but were cleared by the CBI investigation.
