Pawan Kalyan Criticizes Negligence in Industrial Safety, Calls for Action Plan

The recent incident at a pharma company in Achyutapuram is deeply saddening, stated Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

He mentioned that there seems to be negligence on the part of the company management behind this accident. He emphasized that there have been repeated calls in the past to conduct safety audits in industries, stressing the need for such audits to ensure the safety of the public and workers.

He further pointed out that while pollution control falls under one department, safety comes under another. Pawan Kalyan made these remarks during a press conference held at his residence in Mangalagiri.

Expressing his concern, Pawan Kalyan noted that the occurrence of some accident every week is distressing.

He stated that merely offering condolences and compensation is not sufficient. He announced plans to prepare an action plan on industrial safety within the next three months.

Pawan Kalyan also highlighted that special measures are being taken for the development of villages. He mentioned that the NDA alliance has promised to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system, and that the second phase of Panchayati Raj reforms has already begun.

He added that Gram Sabhas (village meetings) are being held simultaneously in 13,326 villages, with initiatives to enhance greenery and cleanliness in the villages.
