Renowned director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has skipped a scheduled police interrogation, citing personal reasons.
He was expected to appear at the Ongole Rural Police Station on Tuesday for questioning. However, around 10 AM, RGV informed the police via WhatsApp that he would not be able to attend the interrogation.
RGV assured the police of his cooperation in the ongoing investigation related to a case filed against him. He requested four more days to attend to personal matters before appearing for questioning.
Official sources confirmed that RGV conveyed his commitment to cooperate with the investigation once his personal matters are resolved.
The case against RGV pertains to obscene posts on social media, which led the Andhra Pradesh police to file charges against him.
Notices were issued summoning him for interrogation. The police had arranged to question RGV at the Ongole Rural Police Station at 11 AM on Tuesday.
However, due to his personal commitments, RGV informed the police around 10 AM that he would not be able to attend the interrogation.
