Roja Criticizes Chandrababu for Breaking Election Promises
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) held protests today against the increase in electricity charges. During the demonstration, former minister Roja criticized former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of neglecting his election promises.
Roja questioned why Jana Sena Party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan remains silent as the coalition government continues to increase electricity tariffs. She asked, “Why is Pawan unable to question Chandrababu?”
She emphasized that the protest would continue until the increased electricity charges are rolled back. Roja also pointed out that Chandrababu had once promised to reduce electricity charges, but is now burdening the public with steep hikes.
Further, she criticized Pawan Kalyan for his earlier statements opposing hikes in electricity tariffs, questioning why he is unable to stop them now. “Why can’t Pawan confront Chandrababu?” she reiterated.
