Asian Champion Pooja Rani loses in quarters, misses Olympic medal-India In Olympics Boxer Pooja Rani (75kg) was beaten by China’s Li Qian on Saturday, forcing the Indian to exit from the current Tokyo Olympics.  Li Qian won the fight with a score of 5-0. China’s Li Qian received a perfect score from all five judges, while Pooja received a nine.  Pooja was defeated in the first round by the Chinese fighter, who won 5-0. Tokyo Olympics 2020: Boxer Pooja Rani beats Algeria’s Ichrak Chaib to enter quarter-finals-India in Olympics Pooja Rani (75kg), a two-time Asian champion, outpunched Algeria’s Ichrak Chaib in her first fight to go to the quarter-finals of her first Olympic Games in Tokyo on Wednesday.  The Haryana-born boxer dominated with her right straights and benefited greatly from Chaib’s lack of balance in the ring.  All three rounds were a tale of Rani’s dominance, as Chaib, who was also competing in her first Olympics, couldn’t find a way to connect cleanly.
