Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi named ICC men’s Cricketer of the Year for 2021
Pakistan’s left-arm bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was awarded the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year for 2021 on Monday.
At 21 years old, Shaheen Afridi is the youngest cricketer ever to collect the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, as well as the first Pakistani player to do so.
It is also Pakistan’s fourth individual prize from this year’s ICC awards.
Afridi’s spell drew accolades from all angles, including Indian captain Virat Kohli in the post-match press conference.
