When we think of a detective drama series, many might recall ‘Sherlock Holmes.’ Inspired by that, the Hindi web series ‘Shekhar Home’ has been created.

The story begins in the 1990s in the backdrop of ‘Lonepur,’ a town in West Bengal.
Detective Shekhar (Kay Kay Menon) rents a room in a house. Though he appears as a simple man, he solves complex problems with ease. Jai Vrath (Ranvir Shorey) comes seeking Shekhar and begins working with him. However, Jai Vrath struggles to keep up with Shekhar’s speed in solving crimes.
Shekhar investigates a series of local murders and hands the culprits over to the law.
He then travels to Bihar with Jai Vrath, where a mysterious person holds some incriminating videos of certain politicians. The person blackmails the politicians, demanding money in exchange for not releasing the videos. Shekhar is called upon to solve this crisis.
During this time, Shekhar meets Iravati (Rasika Dugal), who takes him to a village inhabited by a Zamindar (landlord) family. Several members of this family are murdered, and the villagers believe it to be the work of a ghost.
Shekhar speaks with the remaining family members and begins to uncover the truth behind the mysterious force that is terrorizing them.

Apart from the main characters, other artists change with each case, resulting in a series with many characters coming and going. Only the main characters travel from one case to another.
