Plot Summary:
Anasuya plays Aksha, a school teacher in Hyderabad, who lives with her wheelchair-bound husband and child. She is known for her good reputation as a teacher.
One day, Aksha shockingly murders Lokeshwar Rao, and continues to go about her life in a calm, composed manner. Later, during a visit to a store with her family, she encounters Subramanyam, whom she also kills. Investigative journalist Fazil (Srinath) assists her in these murders.
Meanwhile, ACP Anurag (Vashishta Simha) examines CCTV footage and quickly arrests both Aksha and Fazil. The two victims are found to have connections with a prominent industrialist, Parth (Kabeer Duhaan Singh).
Parth pressures the police to carry out an encounter of the two accused. However, Parth’s brother decides to handle the situation personally. At the same time, a renowned surgeon, Dr. Irani, arrives from abroad to perform surgery on the son of a wealthy individual.
After completing the surgery, Dr. Irani crosses paths with Aksha and Fazil, who are being transported by the police, only to be attacked by Parth’s brother. Aksha and Fazil unexpectedly retaliate and, shockingly, Dr. Irani joins them in killing Parth’s brother.
This act is caught on video by bystanders and quickly goes viral, leading to Dr. Irani’s arrest as well.
What’s puzzling is that all three – Aksha, Fazil, and Dr. Irani – claim that they have no recollection of their actions and deny any prior criminal tendencies.
The police investigate the strange behavior of the trio, and it is revealed that all three had undergone surgeries a few days prior. They discover that the organs transplanted into them belonged to a man named Purushotham Reddy.
The rest of the story unravels who Purushotham Reddy was, how he died, and the mystery surrounding these organ transplants.
Analysis:
Simba lacks the traditional hero-heroine dynamic, and as a result, there are no duet songs or attempts at humor. The plot stays focused on the main storyline, keeping the tone serious throughout.
The concept of a teacher, a doctor, and a journalist committing murders while claiming ignorance makes for an intriguing premise, and the investigation keeps the audience engaged.
A notable theme in the movie revolves around the preservation of trees and plants, which is a thought-provoking element.
However, the film falls short of blending suspense and entertainment smoothly. The murders and the associated investigation don’t feel as impactful as they could have been.
Additionally, the scenes featuring Jagapathi Babu and Kabeer Duhaan Singh are rather routine and fail to stand out.
Technically, Krishna Prasad’s cinematography, Krishna Sourabh’s background score, and Tammiraju’s editing are decent. However, with more attention to the script and the addition of entertaining elements, the content could have been more appealing.
