Smriti Mandhana, Indian opener, wins ICC women’s Cricketer of the Year 2021

Smriti Mandhana of India was awarded the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year for 2021 on Monday.

Smriti has won the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy, which is presented to the ICC women’s cricketer of the year, for the second time after being chosen to the ICC’s women’s T20I squad of the year in 2018.

The left-handed starter knocked off competition from England’s Tammy Beaumont, South Africa’s Lizelle Lee, and Ireland’s Gaby Lewis.

Smriti has also became the second women’s cricketer, after Australia’s Ellyse Perry, to get the award many times.
