Spain Breaks World Record in T20 Cricket History!

Spain, known for its dominance in soccer, is now making its mark in cricket as well.

Despite being a newcomer to the sport, Spain has achieved a remarkable feat in international men’s T20 cricket by winning 14 consecutive matches, setting a new world record, a milestone that even some major teams have not reached.

This achievement was secured with a victory over Greece in the World Cup Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier match.

Spain, placed in Group-C, has so far recorded three wins out of four matches, with one match having no result. This places Spain at the top of their group.

With these 14 consecutive victories, Spain has broken the previous records held by Bermuda and Malaysia, who had won 13 consecutive matches in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Among ICC full-time member teams, India and Afghanistan have both achieved 12 consecutive wins.

In women’s T20 cricket, Thailand holds the record for the most consecutive victories, having won 17 matches in a row between 2018 and 2019, followed by Australia with 16 consecutive wins.
