Without playing the final game, India advanced to the semifinals. The Netherlands’ heroics will also inspire India, since Rohit Sharma’s team will automatically advance to the final four as a result of the surprise victory.
The Indian team, which is now in first place in Group 2 of the points standings, qualified for the semi-finals thanks to South Africa’s loss to the Netherlands.
