Team India Reaches Milestone with 100 Overseas T20 Wins After Centurion Victory

Team India Achieves Milestone with Victory Over South Africa in Third T20

In the third T20 match between India and South Africa held at Centurion on Wednesday, Team India secured a notable victory, achieving another record in international cricket.

This win marked India’s 100th victory in T20 matches played overseas. With this, India has become the second team to reach 100 T20 wins on foreign soil.

The Indian team has played a total of 152 T20 matches abroad, winning 100 and losing 43.

At the top of the list is Pakistan, which has recorded 116 overseas T20 victories. Afghanistan holds the third position, having won 84 out of 138 T20 matches played abroad.

Afghanistan’s limited number of home matches has contributed to their strong standing in overseas games. Among other prominent teams, Australia has played 137 T20 matches abroad and won 71, while England stands fifth with 67 victories in 129 away matches.

In Wednesday’s match at Centurion, India claimed a thrilling victory over South Africa.

With Tilak Varma’s century helping India set a formidable target of 220 runs, the host South African team was restricted to 208 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs.

India won by 11 runs, taking a 2-1 lead in the four-match series. The fourth T20 match is scheduled for November 15 in Johannesburg.
